The perfect workwear for painters: functionality highlighted

workwear for painters

As a painter or plasterer, you need an outfit that is both durable and practical. But since it is your job to make things look good, so should you. That is why you need an outfit that combines functionality and style so you can paint the perfect picture of your company and highlight your professionalism!

Traditionally, most painters and plasterers wear white. That’s why the DASSY CLASSIC collection offers an extensive range of white clothing. That way you can select a complete uniform outfit in no time for yourself and/or your team. Women can also easily find the perfect white outfit they need, with a comfortable, female fit that suits the needs of the female physique. (Check out the DASSY CLASSIC collection for women, use the colour filter to easily find white and white/grey items.)

Workwear for painters: it all starts with a good base coat

As a painter, you always choose the right primer. Same thing goes for your work outfit: the right base matters. It starts with a practical pair of work trousers. Sufficient pockets are key. Preferably with flap or hidden zipper to store your tools or personal belongings paint- and dust-free. And since you are often working on your knees, the importance of knee pockets cannot be underestimated.

Combine your work trousers with a comfortable T-shirt or polo shirt. Choosing a 100% cotton shirt guarantees excellent comfort, both in summer as in winter, since cotton absorbs moisture (bye bye sweat!) and offers excellent insulation properties (hello warmth!).

Pair your outfit with the right shoes. Obviously, painters and plasterers prefer white shoes. But more importantly, you need sturdy safety shoes, with a safety toecap to protect your feet against the impact of heavy objects, a safety mid sole, slip resistance, ladder grip, …

  • The DASSY® Neptunus lowcut safety shoe has a safety class S3 and shock absorbing heels which makes them comfortable enough to wear them all day long.

The final coat for the perfect white painter’s outfit

As a final coat choose a warm sweater that you can personalize with your company name or logo, such as the robust DASSY® Basiel sweater.

Paint or plaster jobs will not often be executed outside during bad weather, but still, a practical jacket that protects you from wind and rain always comes in handy. The DASSY® Jakarta softshell jas is not just breathable, but also has a fleece lining to protect you from the cold. Count on flexible protection!

And last but not least: a cap is an absolute must-have. Definitely when painting or plastering a ceiling. The DASSY® Triton keeps your eyes and hair protected from annoying (paint) splatters!
