DASSY invests in solar energy

DASSY EUROPE bv has recently invested in green energy by installing a solar park on the rooftop of their headquarters in Bruges.

The park has a total surface of 1.704 m² and consists of 852 SunPower solar panels. These have a capacity of 148 kilowatt peak (kWp), making DASSY almost energy-independent.

Stefan Van Ende, business manager: “As a manufacturer of personal protective equipment, we do not only want to contribute to the safety of the users of our products, but we also strive to keep our footprint on the environment as low as possible throughout the entire production and sales process. The installation of a solar park on the rooftop of our warehouse is the next building block to achieve this goal. This investment makes sure that our net energy consumption is nearly zero, both for the logistic operations as for the heating and lighting of our buildings.”
