Knee pockets: Do you need trousers with knee pockets? Make sure that the pockets are adjustable. This way, your knee pads are in the right place to optimally protect your knees. Reinforced knee pockets will help your trousers last longer.

Tool pockets: Not only the number of pockets counts, but also how practical they are. Those who only need tool pockets from time to time, can opt for detachable or tuck-away pockets:
- Detachable pockets or tool pouches can be attached to the belt when in need of extra tool pockets. At all other times, however, you do not have to walk around with the extra weight.
- Tuck-away pockets are attached to your multi-pocket trousers. When you do not use them, you can easily tuck them away in the front pockets.

Fabric: The importance of the fabric may of course not be underestimated. It contributes both to the durability of your garment as to its comfort.
